Today is the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

You can find the day’s readings here, including these words of pondering, “his mother kept all these things in her heart.”

The heart of Mary is worth pondering and just taking it… she is the Mother of God, her most exalted title, (Theotokos), and the Immaculate Conception – the masterpiece of God’s Creation, a Queen prepared for the King of Glory, God’s Son. Of course, her most Immaculate Heart leads us directly to Him.

A few links for you…

My most recent column on Mary, and the Visitation,

and a post about the Immaculate Conception.

Plus something fun from Catholic Mom, “M.O.M.S the Word for Mary.”

The wonderful post from Air Maria explains why there is a sword piercing Mary’s heart.

Pray the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and learn more of her many titles.

Like yesterday’s photo of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, this is the stained glass rendering of the Immaculate Heart at St Augustine, Andover, MA.
